MEI's Jon Wills opened the conference yesterday morning at Falmouth's National Maritime Museum, welcoming the 53 delegates from 14 countries, and thanking our sponsors Steinert and Promet101 for their support.
Critical minerals for the low carbon economy was the theme of the day's presentations, the morning session being devoted almost entirely to lithium. Cornish Lithium's Lucy Crane set the scene with her keynote lecture on lithium and the energy transition and it was good to see British Lithium so well represented by five delegates from the operations in East Cornwall.

As with the Biomining conference earlier in the week, I will be providing a summary of all the technical presentation, with links to the draft papers, in a couple of week's time.
The weather is still in our favour, and last night's coastal path walk, with drinks awaiting at the Chain Locker, provided as always a perfect ice-breaker.
