Monday at Biomining '23

MEI's Jon Wills opened the conference this morning, welcoming the 54 delegates from 14 countries to a warm and sunny Falmouth.

The conference got underway with a keynote lecture from Axel Schippers of the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources, Germany, which was followed by a full day of technical presentations. I will not be reporting on the presentations in these brief daily updates, as there will be a full summary of the presentations in a couple of weeks' time, with links to the draft papers submitted.

Relaxing during one of the day's breaks

It was a pleasure for Amanda and me to lead the evening coastal path walk, ending at the Chain Locker by the inner harbour, where Jon and Barbara had welcome drinks waiting for us.
