Fond memories of Croatia

Croatia's Dalmatian coast has been a revelation and we have had a great week island hopping. Today was our last day, spent in the city of Split, well known for the huge complex at its centre, Diocletian's Palace, erected by the Roman emperor in the 4th century.

Tomorrow we return to Cornwall via London Gatwick, and will just miss Amanda, who flies from Gatwick to Australia early in the afternoon. She will be on her way to Perth to report on ALTA 2019, which begins on the 18th May.

    Great sites of history--sometimes I wonder how you combine the past, present and future of Mineral Engineering with insights of histories and visuals of different places.

      Thanks TC. We are very fortunate being part of the minerals industry, which involves us in much international travel. I am always pleased to hear that people enjoy our occasional detours from mineral processing to describe the world's beautiful places (particularly Cornwall!) and hope that these detours will inspire others to visit these places during their own travels.

    Good message to budding mineral engineers--places around most of the mineral exploration areas have many historical sites and your narratives will inspire them to enjoy their visits.
