Next week the blog will be in the capable hands of Amanda. She is in Perth, Australia at the moment, and will be reporting next week on interesting happenings at ALTA 2019, a mammoth event which includes five international conferences:
- Nickel-Cobalt-Copper (20-22 May) including Pressure Acid Leaching Forum and Panel
- Uranium-REE (23 May) including Developments in IX Forum and Panel
- Gold-PM (23 May) including Fit-for-Purpose Leaching Systems Forum and Panel
- In Situ Recovery (ISR) (24 May) including Enhancing ISR Permeability Forum and Panel
- Lithium Processing (24 May) including Novel Lithium Processes Forum and Panel
I represented MEI at ALTA 2011 and since then we have been a media partner to this annual event.
Amanda was last in Australia in 2010 for the XXV IMPC, held in Brisbane, and, as the photo below shows, she very much enjoys meeting people, so if you are at ALTA next week, please make yourself known to Amanda and share any items of news which you might feel are of interest to her daily blog updates.

I look forward to recent developments on metals and minerals which are in focus at Perth--few things like whether the reserve and resource base of these have increased in the last ten years is of curiousity to me.
ReplyDeleteWhat are the associated gangue minerals(would be huge in volume) present along with these wanted minerals--is there any way we can use this gangue--many related points come to my mind and just putting them here for general comments.
