Physical Separation '17 finished today with my brief introduction to Cornwall's copper and tin mining heritage. We then travelled the 12 miles to the heart of the historic Camborne-Redruth area, for a leisurely 2 mile stroll around the now severely overgrown ruins of the 19th and early 20th century Basset mines, which finally closed in 1918 (see also posting of 3rd June).
