The AusIMM’s Mill Operators Conference is always a great event. This year it was held in Hobart, Tasmania, from October 29th-31st, and was unfortunately too close to MEI’s November conferences to allow any of us to attend.
Australia’s JKMRC and JKTech were out in force, however, and I thank Sarah Boucat of CEEC for sending me this photo of the ‘JK family’, past and present, who were at the conference. It would have been particularly good to catch up with Prof. Alban Lynch (bottom right), the first Director of the JKMRC. Also two MEI Consultants (middle front row), Prof. Dee Bradshaw (Flotation '13) and Prof. Malcolm Powell (Comminution '14).
Seven of the JK team will be at Process Mineralogy ’12, which starts on Wednesday. Barbara and I are just about to leave for London’s Heathrow Airport, for the long journey to Cape Town, and I will be publishing short daily updates on Process Mineralogy ’12, Precious Metals ’12 and Nickel Processing ’12, through the blog and Twitter.
