The XXVIII International Mineral Processing Congress, held at the Quebec City Convention Centre, Canada, officially begins tomorrow.
Most of the 1500+ delegates took the opportunity of registering today prior to this evening's short opening ceremony, followed by a reception in the exhibition area.
The reception gave everyone a chance to take a first look at the 80 exhibition booths, many not typical of mineral processing conferences, as the Expo and Congress is shared with the Annual Conference of Metallurgists (COM '16), which encompasses all branches of metallurgy.

It is good to see that the CIM has embraced social media, and delegates and suppliers will be tweeting their views this week on Twitter (#IMPC2016). As I will @barrywills.
