Gekko's Sandy Gray inducted into International Mining Hall of Fame

Elizabeth and Sandy receiving the
Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2005
Earlier in the year I interviewed Sandy and Elizabeth Lewis-Gray, perhaps the most well-known and respected husband-and-wife team in minerals engineering (posting of 16th March). They are the co-founders of Gekko Systems, which is a world leader in gold processing technology, as well as the design, construction and operation of energy efficient modular plants.

I am pleased to see that Sandy has been inducted into the International Mining Technology Hall of Fame in the concentration category for 2015. In second place was Dr D. R. Nagaraj (Nag) who has more than 35 years of outstanding and innovative achievements in the design, development and commercialisation of numerous families of novel flotation reagents. Nag will be presenting a keynote paper on the evolution of flotation chemistry research at next month's Flotation '15 in Cape Town.
