I just returned from Peru where I had the pleasant surprise of receiving the Dr. h.c. from the University of San Marcos in Lima. This is the third honorary doctorate I received. The first was from Saint Petersburg Mining University in 1993 and the second from the National Technical University in Lima in 2010.
