Ex-student's generous donation to the Camborne School of Mines

With Tim and Sue in Cape Town, 2004
Tim Henderson was a very popular student during his time at CSM. I last met him, and his wife Sue, at Solid-Liquid Separation ’04 in Cape Town, where he represented Mopani Copper Mines, Zambia.  So it was great to hear that Tim has donated US$1.3 million (equivalent to £860,000) to the CSM Trust to enable its continued support for students and staff at the School, which is based on the University's Penryn Campus in Cornwall. 1. This is very encouraging and should be emulated by most of us to remind us of our past and ensure that the school continues to provide able graduates for industry. I am sure that even the students will be encouraged to put in 110 % of effort. Good job Tim. Mphande
