Table Mountain from Vineyard Hotel Conference Centre |
It is an extremely full timetable, crammed with oral and poster papers from all the top names and institutions in flotation from around the world, and we expect a very tightly packed Vineyard Hotel!! The keynote papers will be presented by Prof. Jim Finch, of McGill University, Canada, and Dr. Dan Alexander, of Australia's JKTech.
Only four 2m x 2m booths are currently available in the exhibition area, and we would suggest that you reserve your accommodation as early as possible, as Cape Town is very busy in November, the beginning of spring.
The conference dinner will be held at the Gold Restaurant in the centre of Cape Town. We may have to set a limit on numbers for this, so we do advise you to register as early as possible for the conference.
As the conference evolves, the latest updates will be posted on Twitter. You need not have a subscription to Twitter to view this, and the very latest updates can also be found on MEI Online, so if you are attending the conference, please bookmark one of these links.
Immediately prior to, and after, the conference, the JKTech are running three of their short courses at the Vineyard Hotel.
Finally, if you are staying on after the conference, you may be interested in MEI's offer of a discounted week based at nearby Noordhoek Beach.
I'm at the Vineyard Hotel at the moment, at our annual SAIMM MinProc conference. It's a great venue; I look forward to welcoming you here for Flotation '11 in November.
