It's all happening in Cape Town in 2020

Mining is of great importance to Africa in general, and particularly to Southern Africa, which produces over two-thirds of Africa’s mineral exports by value.
Cape Town, Mother City of Africa, is an area which is regarded as one of the most beautiful regions in the world and is one of the world’s premier travel destinations.

Cape Town is also a premier conference venue, and there is much happening mining-wise next year.
In February the Convention Centre by the famous Waterfront will be the venue for the annual Mining Indaba Conference, the largest mining investment event in Africa.
Just 12 km away in the quiet suburb of Claremont is the beautiful Vineyard Hotel, the setting for MEI's Comminution '20 in April. There is currently a call for abstracts for this conference.

The Vineyard is also the setting for two more MEI Conferences in October, Hi-Tech Metals '20 and Process Mineralogy '20. Last week we were pleased to welcome back Bruker as a sponsor of Process Mineralogy '20, the 6th time that the company has sponsored this conference series. Bruker joins FLSmidth and Zeiss as major sponsors of this conference. Zeiss is also sponsoring Hi-Tech Metals '20 which immediately precedes it. International Mining is the media partner for both these back-to-back events.
Process Mineralogy '20 ends on Friday 16th October, giving delegates the opportunity to stay over in Cape Town for the main event of the year, which begins at the Convention Centre on the 18th. The 2020 International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC) is expected to gather over 1000 professionals and academics from the mining industry representing around 50 countries. Leading universities specialising in mineral processing, all major mining companies and global providers of services and technologies are expected to attend.
The latest updates on all these conferences can be found at #MiningIndaba2020, #Comminution20, #HiTechMetals20, #ProcessMineralogy20 and #IMPC2020. And a reminder that Flotation '19 is also at the Vineyard Hotel in 3 months time.
