Forthcoming merger of Minerals Engineering and International Journal of Mineral Processing

This is the first announcement of important journal news which will affect all mineral processing researchers. As of January 2018, Minerals Engineering and International Journal of Mineral Processing will merge into one journal with the title Minerals Engineering incorporating International Journal of Mineral Processing. Full details of the reasons for the merger can be found on MEI Online.
This merger will obviously affect the Editorial structure, and details of the new editorial team and the associated editorial board and reviewers will be announced early next year.

  1. I feel it is a good idea; I am sure this would have a single point reference for top articles.
To be frank, anything being done by Elsevier with you steering the contents etc would be for the good and I am looking forward to see these well thought of changes.

Excellent - the benefits to the readers, subscribers (will grow in number), authors and publishers will be significant.

Good thought, but such a title may not be received well by the readers. Why not naming it 'Journal of Minerals Engineering and Extractive Metallurgy'

  5. A wise move - and interesting to see the balance between fundamental and more applied contributions in one place!
